Envision Wood Badge
Envision is the finest Family Scouting and Leadership Training venue available anywhere. Envision is an umbrella in a family related setting for the entire advanced high-quality adult and youth? leadership courses offered by the Council and National Scouting. These include Wood Badge for adult Scout leaders. Youth training is available for both young men and young women in Scouting and these trainings include: National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT-Silver Moccasin)?, On-Belay-a Varsity based program, ?and Ranger Trek and Kodiak-Venturing based programs. ?It also includes Family Camp, which provides organized, exciting age-based classes and activities for children and youth of all ages from 18 months on up, and for spouses of participants who are on the other leadership courses.
Adult participants in any leadership course, and adult staff members supporting any of the courses are invited to bring all their family with them.?The intent is that families are not left home while individual family members go to training - everyone comes.?Wood Badge and Family Camp families will camp together, except for Friday night. On that night Wood Badge participants? will camp remotely as patrols. (This is an important part of their Wood Badge syllabus and is very important to their leadership experience). Most meals will be together as Families, but there will be a few when Wood Badge may have other course activities during a specific lunchtime. Wood Badge and Family Camp will generally try to arrange as much family time as possible in the evening, and try to have one mid-afternoon and evening set aside specifically for non-course family activities.
