Western Skies: 2018 Fall Rendezvous

Who?            All boys aged 11-17, along with their leaders

Where?        Camp Tracey 4701 Mill Creek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84109

When?         October 12-13, 2018- Registration begins May 1st


The Fall Rendezvous is a mountain man rendezvous for Scout and Varsity age boys. We will have many events such as Hawk and Knife throwing, Shotgun shooting, Primitive fire starting, Leather Tanning, Traps and Snares, Knife making and much more. Mountain man stories will be told at the campfire Friday night. Come and learn more about the life of the rugged men that were known as Mountain Men.

Vision Statement

In conjunction with the Vision Statement of the Boys Scouts of America, District 18 of the Great Salt Lake Council, will sponsor activities and events that prepare every eligible youth in our District to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

We have recently been contacted by the JL Sorenson Rec Center about their merit badge classes. These are great opportunities to help your scouts earn the Swimming, Lifesaving, and First Aid Merit Badges. They are in need of some help with these classes. They are looking for Merit Badge Counselors! If you have an interest in volunteering to help with these classes, please contact us and we can put you in contact with the right person at the rec center!
