Trained leaders provide a quality, fun-filled program for Scouting units. This results in a more effective, and more rewarding experience for youth, for adults and for YOU! Training helps us all get past the nervousness of performing a role for the first time, whether it’s leading a meeting or organizing a camping trip.
More importantly, trained leaders are more likely to understand the Mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Trained leaders know what is expected of them and know where to find the necessary resources to hold weekly meetings that really engage young people.
Trained leaders know what should happen each minute of a weekly meeting or how to hold a monthly Pack Meeting or Boy Scout Court of Honor.
Each role in scouting has its own requirements to be considered trained and eligible to wear the "Trained Patch" on the official Boy Scout Uniform. Please click HERE to find the requirements for your CURRENT position in scouting.
