Welcome to the 2018 Scout-O-Rama homepage. Whether you are Scouts, leaders, parents, community organizations, or sponsors, you will find all the pertinent information regarding the most exciting event that the Great Salt Lake Council, BSA offers annually.

How Do I Get Scout-O-Rama Tickets to Sell?

The ticket kick-off dates have passed, but you can still get tickets for your Scouts to sell! You can go to either the south valley, north valley, or council service center to pick up tickets today! Head back to the Camps and Activities desk at each location and we will be happy to check out tickets to you.

Mark your calendars for your April roundtable, April 6th or 13th. You will be able to turn-in any monies you have and pick up prizes for your Scouts. Roundtables occur on the 1st or 2nd Thursday of each month. Find out your location by clicking on the 'District Kick-off Locations' tab on the right. If you need more tickets to sell, please go to any of the Scout offices OR pick up more at your April roundtable. If we run out of a prize at your location, no worries! Simply fill out the IOU form and we will get a prize to you as soon as possible.

In an effort to help Scouts and units pay their way to camp, the Great Salt Lake Council has instituted a new commission structure to help Send Scouts to Camp! Prizes are included at each level of commision. Your Scouts can pay for camp and still be able to receive the great prizes! New structure:

15% - Sell SOR tickets

30% - Sell SOR tickets AND have a booth at the event

50% - Sell SOR tickets AND have a booth AND attend any GSLC summer camp

Check out the links below for the exciting prizes your Scouts can earn by selling tickets. Updated brochures will be linked later in the year.

What is Scout-O-Rama?

Scout-O-Rama is a showcase of what Scouting is all about and what our Scout units actually do during the year.  Units organize and put on booth displays, some interactive and some informational, about Scout related activities that their youth have enjoyed over the last year. While walking around the Scout-O-Rama, younger and older Scouts and their families can stop and participate at each of these unit booths. Activities ranges from canoe building, Cub bowling, checkers and chess, to obstacle courses.

Along with the unit booths, each of the four families of Scouting (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venturing) put on displays and interactive areas for Scouts of all ages. You may try your hand at the climbing walls, kayak experience, rocket building, or stop in at one of these areas to find out what the program offers on a yearly basis.

Each year, we are able to have the support of the community and local businesses that help us put on this great event. Booths showcasing their organization allows Scouts and leaders to know what help they have in their community. Some of these organizations and businesses will have product for Scouts to purchase as they get ready for their summer adventures at camp. Without the generous support of our sponsors in the community, the Scout-O-Rama would not be what it is today.

How do I get into the Scout-O-Rama?

Not only is the Scout-O-Rama a fun-filled day of activities and adventures, it is also a fundraiser for local units as they prepare to send their Scouts off to Scout camp and Cub Day camp. Tickets cost only $10 and contain numerous coupons offered by our sponsors. Each ticket allows one full family or a Scout unit of up to 12 people admittance to the Scout-O-Rama. Nowhere else can you spend only $10 and spend an entire day with fun and activities for all ages. Be on the lookout in your local neighborhood or shopping areas for Scouts selling Scout-O-Rama tickets. Purchase a ticket and know that your contribution will help that Scout earn his way to camp!
