The Deseret Peak District (D8) is one of 20 districts in the Great Salt Lake Council. The Deseret Peak District covers all 6,900 square miles of Tooele County, Utah and serves the needs of over 3,500 youth in approximately 310 units.

New Deseret Peak Chairman lays out his plan for the District

Darwin Cook was featured in the Tooele Transcript discussing his vision for the the district. This vision includes "Along with membership growth, ... increased scouting activities in Tooele County, string fiscal management, and partnering with community organizations to increase service opportunities for Scouting’s youth."

SPECIAL NEEDS UNIT

Deseret Peak Differently Abled Troop 1109
Boys, parents and ecclesiatical leaders can decide if they boy's needs are best met in the home unit, the special needs unit or a combination of both.
There is no upper age limit for participants.

Hours vary, please call 882-4613 to make sure Geraldine is "open for business".

Things you can do at the Tooele Scout Shop

  • Register Boys and Adults
  • Turn in advancement sheets and purchase award badges
  • Purchase a wide variety of Scouting literature
  • Purchase some uniform parts
  • Order anything for pick up later.
