Just who is Madilyn Paige? Our Centennial Jamboral headliner, that's who!
In 2014, a petite and beautiful 16 year-old girl from Provo, Utah stepped onto the set of The Voice and became an American sweetheart. Today she has matured into an accomplished professional that has become a worthy role model for young people all over.
Being eliminated from The Voice (after making it into the top 20), was hard, but Madilyn chose to be happy for her fellow contestants and continued to cheer them on. She also chose to learn from the experience and press forward in her career; and it has blossomed into a great one.
Madilyn has performed for audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. She has opened for the Sawyer Brown Band, has been in the pre-show for Rachel Platten, American Authors, & Jason Derulo and performed with Nathan Pacheco, David Archuleta, & Vocal Point. On her own she has successfully released several popular music videos, an album, & has a rather large following across social media platforms including YouTube & Instagram.
Through all her success, Madilyn has been an example of integrity, compassion, & strength. She takes time to speak to youth groups about the importance of having self-esteem, which is the message of her single “Irreplaceable.” In 2017, she shared her song, and part of her message on Face to Face, a live streaming event, that was viewed by youth around the world.
The Great Salt Lake Council is excited to have Madilyn as the headline performer at our 2018 Centennial Jamboral stage show (September 14, 2018). We expect an outstanding performance and maybe some songs from her new album “Anymore”, which will be released just a few weeks before she delights us. She will conclude with an inspiring “Scoutmasters Minute” as is custom at the end of Scouting events & activities. Madilyn will preceded by a pre-show of great performers and will be followed by an awesome fireworks show.
The Jamboral will be a great Scouting experience you will not want to miss. In addition to enjoying a great stage show, you can participate in great Scouting activities, visit informative & fun booths, run in a 5K, and help set a new world record for the largest GaGa ball game,
Sign ups are well underway, but you can still get the early-bird price ($20 for Scouts & Scouters / $12 for Cubs & Cub leaders) if you sign up before August 24. We are hoping we can Scout You In.
