It's not just a camporee, it's an extravaganza

Once again the Deseret Peak District is hosting a Spring Merit Badge Extravaganza! on May 3-4.  If you are looking to add a few more merit badges to your sash, this event will be worth the short drive to Tooele.  However, this is NOT a checklist of merit badges on the trail to Eagle. Quality instructors have been selected based on their occupation and areas of expertise to engage Scouts and offer insight beyond the merit badge.

As an introduction to the BSA STEM Nova awards, there is a list of merit badges that represent each of the STEM fields including Nature, Energy, Inventing, Radio, and more.  A total of 26 merit badges offered over 6, 90-minute sessions Friday night to Saturday afternoon.  MB Classes will start promptly at 6pm Friday evening and 9am Saturday morning with lunch provided at noon.  Units will be responsible for printing schedules for their Scouts.  To facilitate the check-in at the event, Scouts should come with their schedule of classes and worksheets preprinted.

Similar to the 2018 event, overnight camping will be available in the camp area on the East side of Deseret Peak Complex.  If you do NOT plan on spending the night, plan on leaving after the star party and cracker barrel and rejoining us the next morning.
